This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on December 9, 1959. The minutes record approval of bills for payment, the Treasurer's report, authorization for the Amateur Athletic Assoc. to hold the State Outdoor Speed Skating Championship at Lake Ellyn in January, approval of annual dues to the IAPD, donation by the Garden Club of funds to buy trees for South Park [Newton Park]. A representative of the Jaycees stated that the organization would like to do something for the PD and the Board noted that the PD was in dire need of funds and that a representative of the PD would attend a Jaycees meeting to discuss the situation.
