This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on June 14, 1961. The minutes record approval of bills for payment; the Treasurer's report; report on an audit of the PD; request to hold the Fourth of July Celebration at Lake Ellyn Park; report on Sunset Pool; discussion of bids received for a fence around the wading pool in Sunset Park and choice of a contractor and application of a donation from the Junior Women's Club to the cost; decision to table bids for a new roadway and parking area at Sunset Park; selection of a contractor for tree service; request from Century Club for the construction of a bowling green in Memorial Park and authorization for request for bids; decision to erect a merry-go-round and see-saw in South Park [Newton]; requests for use of the Community House, and of Lake Ellyn Park; request for PD work on clearing land in the Spalding area (between 2nd St, Forest Avenue, Park Blvd).
