This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on February 8, 1967. The minutes record approval of bills for payment; the Treasurer's report; a report from the League of Women Voters that a study indicated that there was a need for a supervised recreation program in GE and that the League would lead efforts in starting such a program; request from the League of Women Voters to use the assembly room for a meeting to create a Citizens Advisory Council. to create such a program; selection of two Commissioners to meet with the Village committee charged with discussing the issues of parking on Lake Rd. and selling Forest Park [Prairie Path]; a donation of drapes for the assembly room by the Junior Women's Club; an appropriation ordinance; requests for the use of the assembly room; requests for the use of Lake Ellyn Park; approval of the use of facilities at South Park [Newton] by the GE Eagles for football games; further discussion of applying for Federal and State grants to fund the Lake Ellyn rehabilitation project.
