This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on April 20, 1970. The minutes record approval of bills for payment; the Treasurer's report; adoption of a tax levy ordinance; presentation of a recommendation from Harza Engineering on the selection of a bid for work at Lake Ellyn; discussion of a letter from the Village that the Board delay further work on the Eternal Flame Memorial until agreement can be reached; election and appointment of Board officers; approval of a request to incorporate the Glenbard HS recreation program into the PD recreation program; approval of a motion to incorporate the GE Children's Theatre group into the PD recreation program; requests for use of Lake Ellyn Park, South [Newton] Park, the Boathouse; denial of a request by the GE Recreation Commission to use a portion of Lake Ellyn Park for a mobile recreation program and the suggestion that the program be moved to another park away from the rehabilitation work on Lake Ellyn.
