This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on January 18, 1971. The minutes record approval of bills for payment; the Treasurer's report; advancement of money to Children's Theatre for spring 1971 season; approval of a resolution to extend the Illinois Prairie Path into Kane and Cook Counties; provision of polling places for the upcoming election for Park Commissioner; a presentation on improvements to Sunset Pool and a decision to hold a special meeting to discuss needed renovations to Sunset Pool; approval of requests for the use of Lake Ellyn Park, assembly room. After the meeting had adjourned, the PD Attorney presented information on the acquisition of 12.7 acres next to the Churchill school [Churchill Park].
