Description
This document is the minutes of a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 1, 1937. The main topic of the meeting was a request by the Zoning Board that the PD purchase a property at the corner of Park Blvd. and Pennsylvania Ave. to prevent its being re-zoned for commercial use. The Board stated that they could do nothing at this time. Other topics discussed were: use of the Community House; use of the Recreation House; transfer of care for landscaping along south side of Pennsylvania Ave. from the Garden Club to the PD; use of Lake Ellyn; bills approved for payment; building clay tennis courts at Forrest Park.
