This document is minutes of a Board of Commissioners meeting on April 19, 1976. The minutes record approval of bills for payment; the Treasurer's report; a report from the Director of Parks and Recreation; a report from the Superintendent of Recreation; and a report from the Superintendent of Parks. A report on the Future Park Sites and Improvement Project included updates on Ackerman Park, Lake Foxcroft Park, the Goodrich property [Babcock Park], and the Bicentennial Playground. Landscaping plans were discussed for the Johnson Center, Lake Ellyn Park, and Memorial Park. A report on the progress of plans for a Special Recreation District and was presented. The Board President reported on a letter sent to the Recreation Commission on concerns over duplication of efforts regarding PD activities and programs and requesting a meeting to discuss these concerns. A group of citizens presented suggestions for modification of the use policy of the Memorial Park tennis courts. Officers were elected, officers were appointed and committee membership was settled for the year.
